About Alexander:

Alexander Downer served as the Australian Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1996-2007, the Australian High Commissioner to the UK from 2014-2018, and leader of the Liberal Party from 19994-95. Outside of politics, Alexander was appointed as a visiting professor of Politics and International Trade in the School of History and Politics at the University of Adelaide. He has also assumed the roles of vice chairman at Carnegie Mellon University, South Australia and Executive Chair of the International School for Government at King’s College London.
