About John:

John Baird is the former Canadian Conservative Party Member of Parliament for the riding of Ottowa West - Nepean. John Baird served in a number of senior cabinet roles during his time at the height of Canadian politics, taking roles such as Minister for the Environment, Transport, and the Leader of the House of Commons. Baird then served as Prime Minister Stephen Harpers’s Foreign Minister between 2011-2015. During his time as Foreign Minister, Baird championed liberal democracy as he advanced important causes like LGBT equality and the education of women and girls. Baird was also instrumental in Canada’s response to containing the Iranian regime.
