Mark is a successful businessman with over 25 years of experience in children’s social care, running his own successful child care organisation for over 16 years and supporting others within the field. Mark and his family have been foster carers for over 20 years for local authorities across the North of England.

Mark has held numerous senior roles within children’s social care at both regional and national levels. He has served on various boards and held multiple directorships, most notably as National Chair of the Children’s Homes Association between 2019 to 2023. Serving during the pandemic, Mark worked tirelessly with health and children’s ministers, local authorities and children’s homes providers, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and staff, within private and Local Authority social care.

Collette is a distinguished leader with a formidable track record in strategy, communications, and institutional transformation. Currently a Director at Maven Consulting, she brings decades of high-level expertise in the higher education and commercial sectors to the Centre.

Her career is defined by her ability to bridge the gap between strategic vision and operational excellence. Having held senior leadership roles at UCL and King’s College London, Collette possesses a deep, nuanced understanding of the UK’s university landscape—the primary environment where the Pinsker Centre conducts its vital work. Her previous tenure as Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer at VTCT Skills, along with pivotal roles at the BBC and Unilever, underscores her capability in navigating complex stakeholder environments and driving international growth.

As the Pinsker Centre continues to expand its reach, hosting world-class speakers and fostering constructive debate on campus, Collette’s expertise in brand elevation and strategic engagement will be invaluable.
